Welcome to my business, Gloss Beauty Bar! I'm Abby Ries Helminiak born & raised here in Sheboygan & am proud to be serving our community.

As a busy woman of the 21st century, I know how important it is to feel special, beautiful, & pampered. I have designed my private, one-on-one studio to leave you feeling uplifted, relaxed, & more confident than you've ever felt before.

I have been a licensed Cosmetologist for 20+ years & have been working as an independent stylist for close to eight years. I am proud to offer a variety of of hair services for the modern woman. My passion & specialty is creating beautifully natural looking light, bright blondes.

While most stylists offer a great first visit & solid maintenance care thereafter, I see my role as your stylist a bit differently. I work closely with all of my clients to create a long-term hair care plan to ensure their color, cut, & style always look fresh & there is never a time when they feel bored or stuck in a routine. I am extremely honest (hello, Enneagram type 8!) & will always give you my honest opinion, either way, on what is & isn't possible for your hair. This includes maintaining the health & integrity of your hair while reaching your goals.

When I'm not in the salon, I enjoy a nice meal out at a restaurant with friends. I've rarely met a Champagne or Prosecco I didn't like & I'm a sucker for a BoMallie's Fire & Ice margarita!!! I love to read via Audible (specifically Historical Fiction & Fantasy), travel, & at least once per year will go somewhere to see some Phish shows.

I am OBSESSED with celebrity gossip & pop culture. I am an avid reader of Deux Moi on Instagram & will always have the hottest tea to spill about the who's who of the celebrity world.

My favorite show is 'The Office'. I watch at least one episode every day but honestly, usually it's more!!!
